Got Ideas? CYBF can help!
We are the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF), a national charity providing start-up mentoring, financing and business resources for young Canadians, age 18-34, to create their own successful businesses.
Founded in 1996, CYBF is truly unique. It's an organization that is all about dreams, energy and momentum. It's an organization that supports youth who would not otherwise have the opportunity to realize their full potential and launch a business. It's an organization that is helping to drive the Canadian economy by leading the future development of youth entrepreneurship both domestically and internationally.
Modeled after the UK's Prince's Trust, CYBF is an accredited member of Youth Business International, and has been recognized as one of the most efficient organizations of its kind globally. As such, CYBF is often called upon to mentor other countries with their youth entrepreneurship programs.
The CYBF Program
CYBF provides loans of up to $15,000 and on-line business resources that provide the foundation for new business start-ups. Additionally, what makes the critical difference between a new company's sustainable success and failure is our mandatory world-class mentoring program. CYBF individually qualifies, interviews and trains every volunteer mentor with a hand-matched CYBF entrepreneur for a minimum of 2 years during the critical start-up period.

Successful businesses are not developed alone. By working collaboratively through existing infrastructure, with generous support from the private and public sectors, and with our network of more than 150 local Community Partners and with more than 2,500 volunteers, CYBF delivers its vital program coast to coast.
"We, the people who together make CYBF the great organization it is; our Board, our Sponsors, our network of Community Partners, our volunteer Mentors and Loan Review Committees, and our professional staff, are incredibly proud of the diverse and creative young entrepreneurs we support. Whether urban or rural, service or high-tech, traditional or futuristic, we are honoured to help Canada's youth make their dreams come true. They are our future!" says Vivian Prokop, CEO CYBF.
